French RCF La Boulie win European Club Championship, Sobienie ranked 9th



The French triumphed with the result -12 (414 strokes) after three rounds. Carding -2, the Irish from Galway Golf Club were runners-up during the European Men’s Club Trophy, held at Golf du Médoc Resort. The bronze medal was awarded to England – the team from City of Newcastle GC shot -1.

Three juniors from Poland – Alejandro Pedryc, Michał Bargenda, and Andrzej Wierzba jr. – finished the tournament at +9 (335).

The right to take part in this tournament, held under the auspices of the European Golf Association, was granted only to club champions from member countries of the EGA. 25 countries from the Old Continent competed in this event.

The team from Sobienie has been an undisputed Polish champion for the last three years. In June 2017, the team defeated Tokary GC 4:1 on their own golf course. The bronze medal was awarded to Kalinowe Pola.
